16x26 Inch Antique American Gold Picture Frame for canvas art circa 1885 (19th Century).

This is an Excellent condition 16 inch tall by 26 inch wide ornate wooden wall art frame with a reverse designed cove profile design and a gilded gold leaf finish.

This period frame could fit a 10x12 inch landscape painting or a 12x10 inch portrait painting or even fashioned into a 14x16 inch gold framed mirror.

Rabbet Dimensions: 16" x 26". Rabbet dimensions represent the size of artwork or photo that the frame will hold. 

Frame profile: 5" inches wide. The picture frame profile is the width of the rails of the frame on one side.

Depth: 2" inches from the wall.
