A Rag Rug is a hand woven or machine woven rug made with a heavy cotton warp and a filling of rags torn into strips whose ends are tied or sewed together.
Today, rag rugs are again becoming as popular as they once were, but the skills of this craft is not as commonly known anymore.
Even if there is a slight rise of weaving interest among the young, there aren't that many of the old skillful weavers around to pass the knowledge on.
