    Mary Rosamond Coolidge was a Boston area artist of some note. She was a well known portrait painter and a graduate of Massachusetts Normal Art School and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School. Mary Coolidge studied with Anson K. Cross, Wilbur Dean Hamilton, Edmund C. Tarbell, and C.H. Woodbury. She painted at Fenway Studios in 1913 and 1931 through 1958. She exhibited many places including: AIC, 1909, 1912-14; PAFA, 1910, 1913, 1914, 1918; Corcoran Gal, 1914, 1926; NAD, 1922; Ogunquit AC, 1938; North Shore AA; 1940; Newport AA, 1940-42; Boston AC; S.Indp.A.; Lg. Am. Pen Women, 1946 (prize); Jordan Marsh Co., 1947 (gold medal).
