Rare Pair of English Brass Tapersticks circa 1840.

These 19th century Tapersticks are miniature table candlesticks used to hold wax tapers (sticks of wax with a wick in the middle). They are occasionally referred to as taper candlesticks. Although tapersticks are similar in appearance to chambersticks ultimately they differ in design.
