This wall art print measures 21 one-half inches tall by 14 inches wide with a soft platemark at 9.25 inches by 12 inches.

Pauline Knip née Pauline Rifer de Courcelles was a French bird artist that lived between 26 July 1781 and 18 April 1851.
She was married to Joseph August Knip from 1808 until their divorce in 1824.
Her paintings of birds, particularly the pigeons, were used in Coenraad Jacob Temminck's multi-part work Histoire Naturelle des Pigeons et des Gallinaces.
Born in Paris, she studied art under Jacques Barraband and exhibited her watercolours and pen illustrations at the 1808, 1810, 1812 and 1814 salons.
